Proof Reading circles
Have you found that you can read the same paragraph/ chapter time and time again and not spot the obvious mistake? Our familiarity with our writing often means that we miss the writing errors in them (which is why professional writers employ proof-readers) |
We cannot afford a professional proof-reader, but we can support our community of researchers whilst receiving the same support ourselves. |
The Proof-Reading Group is a community-based activity providing support for ourselves. |
In this session, we will discuss some common writing mistakes, and the basic guidelines for proof reading. We will then exchange sections of our writing (maximum 1500 words) and proof-read each other’s work. |
This event will be held in the RDO Warwick Community space.an online space for all Warwick PGRS. This will allow the group to meet up regularly to continues its support for each other. |
You will need to go to this site https://www.kumospace.com/rdowarwick |
Register with your Warwick email address. You will be asked to confirm your email. This will likely go to your Junk |
Folder so please check here first |
This may take about 10 minutes so worth doing in advance |
