Showcasing and celebrating research at Warwick
Research students make a vital contribution to the university. Innovative, interdisciplinary and path-breaking, the work being done by our PGRs is outstanding. But PGRs aren't just valued for their research. As tutors, they make a key contribution to teaching and learning. Many of the university's key international partnerships are underpinned by joint PhD programmes, which means our PGRs are important ambassadors for Warwick. And of course, PGRs are valued colleagues and members of the university community. It is for all these reasons that we want to celebrate you all and the work you do.
2025 Festival
The Festival will return on Monday 12th May 2025. Book now to reserve your spot. The day will include:
- Celebrations of postgraduate research at the Research Showcase and Research Out-of-the-Box
- Sessions on resilience, compassion, and the supervisory relationship
- Opportunities to socialise with students and staff across the university
The full programme is available here.
Want to share you work? Present your research in 3 minutes or less at the Research Showcase or tell us your idea for Research Out-of-the-Box.

What did the 2024 Festival include?
We came together on Thursday 23rd May 2024 either in person at The Slate or online for a fascinating day on Warwick postgraduate research.
The day included interactive talks on topics such as 'Overcoming challenges during your PhD' and 'Finding joy in your research'.
It also included PGRs showcasing their own research either in 3-minute talks or in a range of traditional and non-traditional formats.
A recording of the Festival can be found here along with videos of all of the talks and speakers.
