E-resources Service Status
Issues with Library Search or e-resources will be posted here as we find out about them - if you are experiencing a problem which is not mentioned here please contact us.
Access to Politics, Law, and ScienceTrove
Due to an update on Tuesday 27th January, access to Oxford Politics Trove, Oxford Law Trove, and Oxford ScienceTrove was temporarily disrupted and our Library Search links to their resources no longer worked.
We successfully updated all relevant links on Wednesday 28th, and they are now working through our Classic catalogue, here: University of Warwick Classic Catalogue
Links will take 3-5 days to update on our main Library page, so during this time, please either:
- Use the Classic Catalogue
- Access the Trove website directly, and once you have signed in, find the relevant title via the Search bar
If you experience any problems with this, please contact us at library@warwick.ac.uk and our Digital Access team will get back to you shortly.
Access issues with ProQuest Ebook Central
Access to ProQuest Ebook Central has been working intermittently since Friday 16th January, with some users reporting no access due to their IP range.
If you are affected by this, ProQuest have requested that you delete all existing cookies for that browser. You can do this manually, or by clicking this link:
https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/clearcookie/clearcookie.html
Once this link has deleted your Ebook Central cookies, it will redirect you to the Ebook Central landing page. After this, please try the original link to the book again and access should be restored.
You can also try:
- Using a private/incognito browser
- Using a different browser, e.g. Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox

Library Search Links error message "Header too large"
Some users have reported issues when trying to access eResources from Library Search. Users are accessing links on Library Search but are presented with a 400 error message, stating that the Header is too large. We are very sorry about if you have experienced this issue. The service provider has been contacted and we hope to get a solution soon. In the meantime there are some workarounds that are working in most cases.
Some quick solutions include clearing cookies, using a private browser session to access material, or to access the material from the Classic Catalogue.
Please open this post to see details on workarounds.
