Yorkshire miners' union archives catalogued
Cataloguing of more than 500 boxes of archives relating to the Yorkshire Miners' Association and National Union of Mineworkers Yorkshire Area has been completed. The archives cover more than 150 years of mining history, from the mid-19th century to the early 21st, and include key sources on the history of the trade union and the communities it represented - from membership records to files on energy policy, industrial relations, and health and welfare.
This is the latest stage in the three year project to conserve and catalogue the archives of the National Union of Mineworkers.
