Access Guide for Short Course Students

Introduction

As a short course student at the University of Warwick, you are warmly welcomed to use the Library and Archives (located at the Modern Records Centre) and its range of services. This briefing outlines what you can access, how to get started, and where to find support.

  • Short course students are entitled to borrow physical books from the University Library.
  • Use your University ID card at self-service machines located in the library lobby
  • Standard loan periods and renewals apply
  • Staff are available to help if you’re unsure how to borrow or return books
  • Books can be returned via the book return bins in the library, or at the Westwood Campus (close to the café)

Open Access Online Books & Journals

You have full access to open access resources through the Library’s Advanced Search.

Use it to:

  • Filter by subject, format, or availability, and click on the ‘Open Access’ tab located on the lefthand side ‘Refine Your Search’. Access resources online from anywhere, 24/7.
