Please email me at if you would like to discuss about any of my roles and experience.

Background

I studied mathematics in my bachelor's degree at Gazi University in Ankara. I then pursued my Master's degree in Intelligent Tutoring Systems at Nagoya University and a PhD in Big Educational Data Analysis and Recommender Systems at the University of Southampton. I have taught as an assistant professor in Turkey. I was also a postdoctoral researcher at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Slovenia, contributing to research on Open Educational Resources recommendations as part of the Horizon project X5GON.

Teaching

I have been teaching a range of modules in Computer Science since 2018 and, since the autumn of 2023, at Warwick.

Research

I have experience in research on behavioural analysis and modelling to gain insights into user behaviour and develop a recommender system based on past behaviour in online courses and content using Big Data analysis techniques. You can view the publications resulting from this research on my Google Scholar profile.

My current research interests include natural language applications with Big Data, technology-enhanced learning, recommender systems and machine learning. Please see the proposed research topics here.
