The following project ideas may be of interest to second year students choosing their third year project:
- Biologically inspired robot control – using an artificial neuroendocrine system to control a robot.
- Robot hide and seek – program two Lego NXT robots to play a game of hide and seek.
- Distributed sensors – students to develop an activity for schools to build sensors using the raspberry pi. Activities could be run in schools through the department’s outreach programme. Student to also look at how to combine and visualise the distributed sensor readings.
