Siddharth Srivastava
Hi! My name is Sid, I am a PhD student (2024 - Present) under the supervision of Prof. Till BretschneiderLink opens in a new window within The Zeeman Institute for Systems Biology & Infectious Disease Epidemiology Research (SBIDER)Link opens in a new window and the Centre for Mechanochemical Cell BiologyLink opens in a new window.
Research Interests
My research focusses on deep generative models for data augmentation on 2D, 3D, and 3D+Time bioimage datasets; augmenting small, hand-annotated 'gold-standard' datasets into large, diverse, balanced, synthetic 'silver-standard datasets'. We aim to leverage these silver-standard datasets to improve downstream model performance trained on these large datasets, a task that would otherwise be challenging on small datasets.
Keywords: deep generative models, cellular image synthesis, segmentation, object detection, dataset augmentation
