Biography

I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Warwick. My research focus is on the implications of quantum computation/information for cryptographic theory and applications.

I obtained my PhD at ETH Zürich where I was part of the Applied Cryptography Group and supervised by Prof. Kenny Paterson. I also received a Master’s degree at ETH Zürich, and a Bachelor’s degree at IIT Roorkee.

Before joining Warwick, I held research positions in the industry – specifically, at SandboxAQ (as a postdoctoral fellow) and Visa Research (as a PhD intern). I'm also currently consulting for Input Output.

My work was recognized with Best Paper Awards at the PKC 2023 and PKC 2024 conferences. I’m also a member of the team behind Classic McEliece, a cryptosystem which has been standardized by ISO as part of ISO/IEC 18033-2 for post-quantum encryption (and was in the fourth round of NIST’s post-quantum cryptography standardization project).
