Presentations at WPCCS '23 Winter should be a maximum of 13 minutes long for full talks (10 minutes for speaking plus 3 minutes for questions). During the presentation, the chair of the session will give a two-minute countdown warning. This is to ensure that the speaker knows how much time they have remaining.
Each presentation room will have a lectern with a Windows ITS machine, along with different connectors to plug in laptops. Speakers may share their slides to Chair via Teams (as either a PDF or PowerPoint file), or send the slides to us via an upload portal. USB sticks are disabled on ITS machine. The portal will open on the scheduled release date. However, due to some IT restrictions, we do recommend the speakers send their slides online prior to the event.
Posters
Posters at WPCCS '23 Winter will be presented at lunchtime. Each speaker is required to submit a landscape A0 poster as a PDF file via an upload portal. The portal will open on the scheduled release date. To allow time for printing, the portal will close two weeks prior to the event.
Templates
The University of Warwick has provided templates for presentations given by both students and staff at the university. These can be found here for oral presentations and here for academic posters. As such, these can be used when presenting your work at WPCCS. It is recommended that the newer templates are used, as these are of a higher quality. Any other creative academic formats are encouraged as well.
