2016 Project Support

The WarwickSub team is proud to annouce the kind support of the 2016 campaign from the following companies:

3M is a global innovation company that never stops inventing. This year, the team is looking foward to innovating further and faster with the help of 3M's products.

  • Apeks -

#technicallyinspired. Inspired by technical diving and designed for all, the full range of Apeks scuba diving equipment, which now includes regulators, bladders, drysuits, instruments and accessories, has been adopted by technical divers around the world. WarwickSub is proud to be assiciated with such a successful diving equipment company, and looks forward to the kind support the company has agreed to give to the 2016 campaign.

  • Axiom Propellers -

Axiom Propeller's aim is to improve boat handling, safety and enjoyment through the use of a technologically advanced, reliable propeller. We're thankful the kind support Axiom Propellers gave the team in 2015, and are looking forward to delivering an even more innovative and high-performance propeller for 2016.

  • Bosch Rexroth Group -

Bosch Rexroth is one of the leading specialists in drive and control technologies. The innovative, and extremely versatile extrusion products provide an excellent platform for the manufacture of the vessels chassis as well as the transport trolley.

  • Concept Group International -

Concept Group has a global reputation for finding new, more efficient ways to help its customers design and build inspiring concept cars, prototypes and low-volume vehicles. We're really excited to be working with CGI again for 2016, in the delivery of our complex hull. Concept Group's state-of-the-art facilities help the team in the manufature of a hull that is made of biobased compsites. An unusual project for CGI, Warwick Submarine provides a showcase for the companys innovative manufacturing processes and A-grade final results.

Custom Club Clothing make creating customised clothing as simple as possible. Seen our dashing teamwear?

  • Davall Gears -

Davall kindly provide the expertise and components for the vessels gearbox. Davall Gears is a long established UK manufacturer and supplier for the design and production of gearing systems and specialist gearboxes.

  • DIAB Group -

DIAB has been at the leading edge of composite core material development for over sixty years, supplying a wide range of markets including marine, wind energy, transport, aerospace and industry.A new partnership for 2016, we're looking forward to implmenting some of DIAB's innovative materials in helping the team meet its buoyancy targets.

  • Elmira -

Elmira is the home of the green solutions for Composites, Castings, Coatings, Rigid Polyurethane Foams, and Adhesives. WarwickSub are excited to be again using Elmiras extensive biobased resin solutions.

  • Ergo-Link -

Ergo-link™ 3-D Human Factors Engineering CAD Mannequins, have been specifically created to provide designers, human factors specialists, and engineers a statistically accurate design tool that utilizes 3D human CAD models. WarwickSub utilises mannequins virtually to validate all pilot packaging and to confirm the ability to control the submarine.

  • HVM Catapult -

Based at WMG, the High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult is the catalyst for the future growth and success of advanced manufacturing in the UK. The WarwickSub's use of exciting, innovative materials and processes in a novel way provide a great platform to showcase some the Catapults work and research from WMG.

  • Indespension -

THE National Trailer Company. With 19 Indespension stores and hundreds of stockists across the UK & Ireland all supported by sales and technical backup from the Head Office, you are never far away from professional and friendly service. Indespenion supply the rollers and equipment used for the 'trolley' which transports the submarine across dry land.

  • Mike Vaughn Cycles -

Based locally to the University of Warwick, Mike Vaughan Cycles, a family business that has been trading for three generations, has a vast wealth of experience to offer its customers. Mike Vaughn Cycles will be kindly helping the team procure cycling components for its steering and powertrain assemblies.

  • Rotor Bike Components -

Rotor's driving purpose is to offer solutions through core technologies that improve your cycling experience. Often these problems have not been widely recognized, leading to groundbreaking, innovative solutions. Rotor aid the team in the cycling-derived powertrain we use, kindly providing parts and expertise to the team.

  • Stoney Cove -

Stoney Cove is the leading UK dive centre. Situated locally to the University of Warwick, it provides a perfect place for our team to undergo diver traiign as well as house a perfet facility for which to test the submarine in. Much work has taken place to keep Stoney Cove at the forefront of diver training and it is recognised as the benchmark for other centres to follow. The Centre includes a heated indoor training pool, superb conference rooms, a fantastic dive store with a vast range of dive gear at very competitive prices and a super public bar and restaurant called Nemos as well as the underwater features.

  • Stratasys -

The 3D Printing Solutions Company. Following an enormoulsy successful partnership in 2015, Stratasys are returning as the teams supplier of 3D printing materials and solutions. Stratasys is the market leader in 3D printing solutions, providing the team with great flexibility in parts manufacture, opening up previously closed in component design, that can be brought to life at the touch of a button.

  • Sugru -

Sugru is mouldable glue that turns into rubber. We're excited about the prospect of this innovative solution. This platform technology has thousands of uses in the engineering, medical, sport, tool, electronics and telecommunications industries, and we're just gettgin started on the human-powered submarine applications! 

  • WDS -

WDS are the leading stockists of industrial standard and machine parts. A successful partnership in 2015, we hope our work wih WDS will prove invaluable in 2016.
