Visitors from South Korea

Korean VisitorsOn the 18th July, Warwick Crop Centre and the UK Vegetable Gene Bank hosted a visit by 17 Agricultural Researchers, Extension workers and Government officials from South Korea coordinated by Gyeongsangnam-Do Agricultural Research & Extension Services.

Warwick postgraduate students participate in the IFSTAL Summer School in Reading

IFSTAL Summer School30 students from across five collaborating HE institutions gathered at the University of Reading on Sunday 3 July to kick off the inaugural Innovative Food Systems Teaching and Learning (IFSTAL) Summer School.

A diverse range of students from the University of Warwick participated including three PhD students from Sociology, Politics and International Studies and Law, six MSc students from Life Sciences and one Masters student from Sociology. More information

Dave Chandler a speaker at the HTA Vine Weevil Summit

An emergency Vine Weevil Summit, aiming to find an industry led solution to the threat of vine weevil the number one pest in ornamental crops, took place on Tuesday July 12, 2016.

Supported by the HTA, Bayer, ICL, Fargro and BASF, and associated with the events official media partner, Horticulture Week, the industry summit was an opportunity to contribute towards developing a strategic preventative strategy for vine weevil control.

Dave Chandler from the Warwick Crop Centre, School of Life Sciences was one of the speakers and presented on R&D and future developments.
