Eligibility: Applicants must self-identify as being either Black or of Black heritage.
Value:
- A maintenance stipend paid at the prevailing UKRI rate for 3.5 years
- A one-off Research, Training Support Grant (RTSG) of £5,000 to fund research-related expenses.
- For eligible scholars, the opportunity to apply for financial support towards the cost of immigration to the UK.
- Paid short term, family and medical leave options.

How easy was it to apply for the scholarship?

What did receiving the scholarship mean to you, and how has it helped you?
Receiving this scholarship meant a great deal to me. I have always dreamed of becoming a professor and a well recognised scholar in my field. The scholarship has helped me take significant steps toward that goal. It has supported my academic journey, enabled me to build valuable networks, explore new opportunities, and develop professionally. It truly feels like a dream come true.
