Marin Alexe's cutting-edge electronics research receives £1.75m boost from EPSRC
Professor Marin Alexe has been awarded grants for two research projects in the field of ferroelectricity – which may lead to breakthroughs in nanotechnology, and memory storage in everyday devices.

Upgrading heavy oils using bio-metallic catalysts
Novel work by the group of Prof. Lynne Macaskie (Biosciences, University of Birmingham), utilising the Warwick XPS Facility, has demonstrated that bio-metallic catalysts can be used to upgrade heavy oil in to lighter, more commercially-viable products in a more efficient way than current catalysts.
