Medical technologies, biotechnology and life sciences sector study
The aim of this project was to explore the skills strategies (along with other, broader, strategic issues and policy initiatives) that would enable the UK to become a leading global player in the area of medical technologies, biotechnology and life sciences. While most of the existing work is regional in nature, there is also a strong international aspect. The present project will further extend and enhance the research from a national, UK perspective, although there will also be sectoral, regional and international dimensions to the study. The strategic view of future skill needs and other policy initiatives will be built up against a background of information and statistics about emerging technologies.
