Nanoscale measurements 100x more precise, thanks to improved two-photon technique

The precision of measuring nanoscopic structures could be substantially improved, thanks to research involving the University of Warwick and QuantIC researchers at the University of Glasgow and Heriot Watt University into optical sensing. QuantIC is the UK Quantum Technology Hub in Quantum Enhanced Imaging and part of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme.

Archbishop Welby visits WMG, University of Warwick

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, visited WMG at the University of Warwick today (4 May 2018), as part of his ‘homecoming’ tour around Coventry, the city where he was first ordained.


WMG to test new location system for intelligent vehicles

Intelligent vehicles and smart devices could gain more accurate location awareness by ‘fusing’ Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and WiFi signals – and a test for this is the focus of an Innovate UK project led by Spirent Communications and involving WMG at the University of Warwick.


Coventry’s universities prepare for City of Culture with cultural projects open to all

Coventry’s universities are to embark on a series of collaborations to bring their research directly to Coventrians in the run up to UK City of Culture 2021.

Working with local cultural groups the University of Warwick and Coventry University will collaborate on 13 projects during the spring and summer of 2018 that will support Coventry City Council’s Cultural Strategy.


Taking the sting out of STEM

In a new international collaboration, experts from the University of Warwick and the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg are training South African teachers in a set of research-informed techniques to address anxiety around science, maths and technology subjects and help learners develop more confidence in their own ability to learn.
