Online toolkit created to support grassroots volunteering

An easy to use online toolkit has been launched by a researcher from the University of Warwick to help anyone motivated to volunteer in the Global South to turn their ambitions into practical action. 


Political researchers to study how ideas become "framed" for debate

Who decides how political ideas are ‘framed,’ and how are these frames shared with others? A new international three-year project led by Dr Ozlem Atikcan of Warwick’s Department of Politics and International Studies, Professor Anna Holzscheiter of Germany’s TU Dresden, and Professor Jean- Frédéric Morin of Canada’s Université Laval aims to find out.

Boundary-spanning research centre launches six new projects

From improving mapping of species at risk to analysing the uptake of COVID-19 test and tracing apps by the public, researchers at the University of Warwick's Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM) are launching six new projects investigating how new technologies are shaping society, and demonstrating how data science can tackle current social, political and ecological challenges.

A new project led by Professor John Solomos of Warwick Sociology will look at the social and political life of London to test whether the utopian ideal of the Open City exists in real life, and explore issues of race, migration, mobility and living with diversity. 


Safeguarding human rights during the coronavirus response - new projects from Warwick Law

Sharifah Sekalala, Associate Professor in Warwick School of Law, will be taking on two significant projects aimed at ensuring that human rights don’t get eroded in the national and international response to the coronavirus pandemic with support from the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account.
