Government’s new KEF report puts Warwick in top 10% of English universities for “Public and community engagement” and top 20% for “Working with Business”

The Government’s new Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) report published today, Wednesday 31st March 2021, shows that, in among universities and higher education providers in England, Warwick is in the top 10% for “Public and community engagement” and the top 20% for “Working with business”.


Can the Open City truly exist? New research will focus on urban life in London

A new project led by Professor John Solomos of Warwick Sociology will look at the social and political life of London to test whether the utopian ideal of the Open City exists in real life, and explore issues of race, migration, mobility and living with diversity. 


First Social Work Degree Apprentices welcomed to Warwick

A trailblazing team of apprentices has arrived at the University of Warwick’s Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) to take their first steps towards gaining a degree in Social Work. The University of Warwick is one of the first UK universities to offer a Social Worker Degree Apprenticeship - a three-year, practice-based route into qualified social work that pays trainees a wage and combines learning on the job with high quality off-the-job study.
