Warwick announces that it has surpassed its 50th anniversary £50 million appeal
The University of Warwick has just announced that it has surpassed the goal it set of raising £50 million to invest in research and teaching by the end of its 50th anniversary year in 2015. On Friday 16th October at 3pm it is to reveal that has far outstripped that target and 12,000 donors have come together to give £73 million.
Warwick to award honorary degree to Janet L. Yellen Chair of the US Federal Reserve System
The University of Warwick has announced today, Monday the 5th of October 2015 that it is to award an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) to Janet L. Yellen, Chair of the US Federal Reserve System (often known as “the Fed”). The award will be made at a ceremony to be held in Washington DC on 19 November 2015.

The Warwick community is saddened by the death of Dr Oliver Sacks who was a much loved Visiting Professor at the University of Warwick who drew capacity crowds for every lecture and seminar he gave on our campus.
