Urban Identities Past and Present

In what ways do the concept of identity and the urban space influence one another? Urban Identities was a one day conference. The speakers were from a variety of disciplines, including politics and dance. They covered topics from the medieval era through to the twenty-first century.

Spon End Stories

Our GRP provided funding for the publication and launch event for Spon End Stories. This tells the story of one of the oldest parts of Coventry, Spon End. These stories were collected in a booklet and narrated memories and histories, happy and sad.

Coventry Lives

This project aims to remind Coventry citizens of our rich heritage. We want to engage people to research the city and help inform our visitors. We will create biographies, from medieval times to the present day.

Concrete Cinema

The Concrete Cinema is based at Pioneer House, Hillfields. This was a projection mapping project. Local residents created material about what it's like to live there. Video artists then projected this onto the surface of this brutalist tower block.

Ghost Town: Civic television and the haunting of Coventry

We funded a restored screening of Celebration. Duke Ellington's 1966 performance in Coventry Cathedral was shown. The event was a celebration of the cultural history of the cathedral.
