About the Event

The Energy Global Research Priorities Programme at Warwick University is pleased to host a networking workshop "Communicating Climate Science and Renewable Energy Technologies to Policy Makers." This workshop brings together experts from academia, policy, and industry to explore the critical issue of effectively communicating the urgency and importance of climate science and renewable energy technologies to policy makers.

With the world facing an unprecedented challenge in transitioning to a sustainable energy system, this workshop provides a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and multi-stakeholder collaboration. The workshop will cover a wide range of topics including the strategies for communicating the risks of climate change, best practices for communicating the benefits of renewable energy technologies, the role of scientists and experts, and the impact of cultural, political, and economic factors on communication efforts.

Keynotes will be delivered by leading voices in the field, including Professor Paul Monks, the Chief Scientific Advisor for BEIS and Andrew Lever, Director of Energy Transitions at the Carbon Trust. We invite submissions from scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders to join us in exploring innovative and impactful ways to communicate the importance of climate science and renewable energy technologies to policy makers.

We look forward to an engaging and productive discussion that will further our collective efforts in addressing the complex and urgent problem of transitioning to a sustainable energy system.
