How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Royal Academy of Engineering - GCRF Frontiers of Development | Building Resilience Series
RA Eng, Virtual symposia events

Runs from Monday, November 02 to Thursday, November 12.

To register your interest in attending this symposium Register

The next Frontiers of Development symposium will take place virtually between 2-12 November 2020, focusing on the theme of resilient resource use.

Our current use of resources is not sustainable, resilient, or easily adaptable to new or alternative modes of use. Further, it is inequitably distributed both geographically and societally. Key questions the event will address include:

  • How do we build resilience in the world of shared resources?
  • How can we develop a pattern of resource use that is equitable, resilient and sustainable in societal, economic and environmental terms, bearing in mind all relevant factors including climate change, population growth and the socio-geo-political environment?
  • What are some practical solutions to ensure resilient resource use?
  • How do we improve human resources, such as through education, nutrition and skills?
  • How do we make sure that our natural resources, such as water and air, are used and accessed equitably and sustainably?
  • How can we use economic resources and incentives to encourage responsible behaviour?

Warwick Institute of Engagement Webinar
Webinar, University of Warwick

Join us for our launch webinar at 11am on 9 November to discover more about Warwick Institute of Engagement.

This event is for anyone who is interested in working with the Institute and potentially in applying for Fellowship, as well as those who want to know more about the Institute. Members of the WIE team will introduce the Institute and its aims, and give more information about the application process.

It will also be an opportunity for you to send in your questions and thoughts about how Warwick engages, what we can and should be doing differently going forwards, and how the Institute can help.

You can register using this form. You are welcome to submit questions in advance on the form, and we will attempt to answer all of these questions during the session. There will also be a moderated Q&A chat window where questions on the day can be asked.
