How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Radical Hope and Youth Citizenry: Reflections on ethnography, community-engaged research and applied performance

Following the recent publication of Global Youth Citizenry and Radical Hope: Enacting Community-Engaged Research through Performative Methodologies (Gallagher, Rodricks & Jacobson, 2020), we are delighted to invite staff and students from across the University to this research event.

We will share details of Gallagher’s international, multi-sited and collaborative research project (SSHRC 2014-18) Youth, Theatre, Radical Hope and the Ethical Imaginary: an intercultural investigation of drama pedagogy, performance and civic engagement. This project took place in five sites: Toronto (Canada), Lucknow (India), Athens (Greece), Taipei (Taiwan) and Coventry (UK).

Rachel Turner-King was the lead researcher for the Coventry site (The Belgrade). Kathleen and Rachel will give presentations on their work. There will be a screening of the ‘Towards Youth’ documentary video and time for a Q & A.

This interdisciplinary event will be of interest to those working in ethnography, social justice, youth studies, citizenship education and applied theatre.

As we will be providing light refreshments, we ask you to sign up for this event by 9th March 2020.
