19th September 2018, Radcliffe, University of Warwick
The Network of Early-Career Sustainable Scientists & Engineers (NESSE) has partnered with the Institute for Global Sustainable Development, Innovative Manufacturing Global Research Priority and Sustainable Cities Global Research Priority (University of Warwick, UK), to organise the 2nd Science for Sustainable Development: Early-career Leaders Day to be held on 19th September in Coventry, UK.
About the workshop
This day will bring together early-career scientists and professionals from different domains to share ideas about how they can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The event will focus on the collaborative development of ideas through workgroups, offering an ideal environment to build connections with other young leaders. Attendees will be encouraged to think creatively about tackling global challenges in an interdisciplinary, integrative approach. Skills development workshops will help early-career leaders to develop the skill set required to grow and maximise their professional impact.
The event will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on the 19th September, at the Radcliffe Conference Centre, University of Warwick, Coventry. After the professional programme, attendees will have an opportunity to socialise at a nearby pub to further develop their connections.
Thanks to support from the University of Warwick, there is no charge to attend the workshop, which will include lunch and refreshments, but attendees will need to cover their own travel costs.
There are a total of 60 places available and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The deadline for registration is 7th September 2018.
