Investment Banking Uncovered

Investment Banking Uncovered

Central campus - Wednesday 11th October 2023 - 6pm - 8.30pm

Our annual Investment Banking Uncovered event will take place back on campus this Autumn term. The event has annually attracted over 400 students, who really value the opportunity to hear about the experiences and career journeys of alumni working within different areas of investment banking.

The evening aims to provide students with an overview of the different divisions within an investment bank. These may include Global Markets – Sales / Trading, Investment Management, Risk Management, Technology and Operations. Students will gain;

  • An understanding of the key skills and attitudes to be successful within these different divisions
  • An honest overview of the industry and current challenges
  • Clear reasons why they should consider a career in investment banking
  • Hints and tips on what they need to do to enhance their chances of success

The format of the event will see speakers talk about their career journeys for 10 minutes each, followed by questions from the student audience. The event will be held in-person on the university campus and hosted by our Careers Consultants. Speakers and students will have the opportunity to network after the talks and we welcome banner stands to promote and identify banks represented on the night

If you are a Warwick alum working in Investment Banking, or you have a colleague who would be interested in speaking to our students, please do get in touch. We also welcome interest from employers directly.

We have 5 speaker places available - please contact employerconnect@warwick.ac.uk to register your interest
