PREF 2025

This year we are running a bespoke survey, focusing on supervision of PGRs and PGR Training and Development. This is to help further work we are doing as part of the PGR Strategy. The survey is the Postgraduate Research Experience Feedback.

The survey questions will include some of those covered by PRES in previous years, as well as our own more specific questions.

The survey will open from 17 March 2025 and all PGRs are invited to complete it.

What is the PREF?

This year, we want to understand your experience of two fundamental aspects of your research degree experience: supervision, and training/development.

We will use your feedback to inform work we have undertaken to review and revise the training and development provision for PGRs across the University. And it will also inform ongoing work on developing and supporting our supervisors.

We will also share relevant aggregate data with your department/school.

PREF responses are anonymous and the whole survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

PRES 2023

In 2023, we participated in the sector-wide Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). Your feedback is integral to shaping your and future researchers’ experience at Warwick.

As a result of the valuable feedback received from previous PGR (PRES) surveys, a number of enhancements are being made at Warwick to improve the experience of our researchers.
