Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)

Surveying PGRs in 2025

This year we are running a bespoke survey focussing on Supervision of PGRs and PGR Training and Development. This is to help further work we are doing as part of the PGR Strategy.

The survey questions will include some of those covered by PRES as well as our own more specific questions. Relevant staff will be invited to complete the survey as well as PGRs.

The survey will run in the 2025 Spring term.

What is the PRES?

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey is a national survey of postgraduate research students inviting them to comment on their experience. PRES is for any PGR student researching at the University of Warwick, including part time and distance learning students.

The survey lets us know what is working well and what's not, helping us to make things better. Your responses help us improve both our current and future support, for all postgraduate researchers.

PRES 2023

The results are used both departmentally and institutionally, to identify areas for celebration and where more work needs to be done to improve the student experience. They allow us to benchmark ourselves against the Sector and other Russell Group Universities to see how we compare for student experience.
