How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Beating writers block with creative writing

Beating writers block with creative writing

Are you still staring at the blank screen/ blank page? Finding it difficult to focus or know where to start? Are you waiting for the chapter to appear fully formed? We have many reasons for writers block and this session will use creative writing to get us started. In the workshop we will practice techniques which will help us just start writing; writing anything, writing without restriction; and writing without the internal voice or critic.

PhD in a Second Language Focus: Editing and Proof reading practice
Online

A PhD is challenging. Doing it in another language makes it more so.

The series is designed to support you with many aspects of the process. We cover writing and speaking, reading

and presenting. We discuss how we network and create connections. We also discuss the vagaries of undertaking

research in the UK, strange British habits and accents, the words that mean something entirely different and trip

us up every time.

The sessions are run by a Warwick PhD and lecturer, who still occasionally struggles to find the correct English

word.
