We’ve committed as part of our PGR strategy focus on supervisor training and support to establish some peer-led community of practice groups.

From the feedback we’ve received so far on the common challenges faced by supervisors we want to get going with the following three groups. If you want to take part, please express your interest below.

Directors of Graduate Studies and PGR programmes. Open to all current or incoming DGSs – lead by Professor Martin Wills. The group’s next meeting will be online on 1st May 11am

Disability, Mental Health, and Wellbeing. Open to all current and prospective supervisors – lead by Professor Domenico Giacco. Date for first meeting to be announced soon.

Supervising in Supervisory Teams. Open to all supervisors currently or soon to be working as part of a supervisory team – lead by Professor Jenny Burns. To include issues and best practice arising from co-supervision, both within Warwick and with external co-supervisors in other academic and non-academic institutions in the UK and abroad. Date for first meeting to be announced soon
