Accidently killed while in the act of fixing a piece of cornice, he by some means fell from the building
"Oppositionists dead", p.3: "Only some 14 weeks since deceased was a paying member, and about eight weeks ago he swerved from the Society's principles and worked in opposition after he had contributed to it the past ten years. … This indiscretional act of deceased, prior to the unforeseen accident, has thus deprived a sorrowing widow of the Accident Provision, as well as the Funeral money".
