Prof Feng to chair the International Symposium on Nonlinear Sciences And Applications

Prof Feng will co-chair the 5th Shanghai International Symposium on Nonlinear Sciences and Applications (Shanghai NSA'12) will be held at Fudan University in Shanghai and on a Yangtze cruise from Yichang to Chongqing on June 27-July 3, 2012. Dr Timofeeva to chair workshop on Calcium dynamics in neuronal and glial cells

COMBI faculty Dr Yulia Timofeeva will chair a workshop titled 'Calcium dynamics in neuronal and glial cells' to be held at Warwick on April 4, 2011. This workshop will focus on the important role of calcium in controlling a great variety of neuronal and glial processes and on the bidirectional communication between glia and neurons. It will bring together experimentalists and theoreticians working in the fields of neuroscience and cell biology for a critical discussion of recent results and future directions. Keynote speech on bioimage computing at ICMV'2010

Dr Rajpoot gave a keynote speech titled Image Computing for Life Sciences at the International Conference on Machine Vision (ICMV'2010) held in Islamabad during December 29-31, 2010. His talk focussed on some recent developments in the rapidly emerging area of Bioimage Computing which is allowing us to study the dynamic processes of life in a new light.
