037 - Agent-oriented Modelling and the Explanation of Behaviour
Abstract
A new method of modelling, based on agents, observation and experiment, provides a framework in which to represent behaviour that is immediately experienced rather than circumscribed. Ths paper discusses the principles behind the method, and explores its relevance to topical controversies concerning explanation of the behaviour of complex systems.
