Students should consider the following points carefully before signing up for a language option:

* All language options run for 24 weeks.
* A language option requires intensive study, even when other assignments are due.
* The Language Centre checks on attendance at classes.  Absence for 2 weeks results in a warning and after 3 weeks, students are required to withdraw from the module.
* Students deciding to de-register will have to find 2 or more modules to make up the 24/30 CATS. This may be a problem if de-registration is after term one.
* Students should check the timetabling of the module chosen for clashes with core modules.
* Students should discuss the level of module chosen with the Language Centre to ensure it is appropriate.
