Improving the future world of work post Covid

The UK and other governments internationally want to build back better work following the Covid pandemic. Along with Leeds University, IER hosts ReWAGE, an independent expert advisory group modelled on SAGE, which supports government’s strategic response to the recovery and renewal of work and employment in the UK as it tackles the impact of Covid-19. Core funding is provided by the ESRC. ReWAGE produces evidence papers and policy briefs through a series of expert sub-groups.

Through funding provided by Deloitte, three sub-groups have been formed to examine: 1) creating a future of healthy jobs 2) redesigning jobs to optimise productivity and human centredness and 3) flexibility and the future of work. The first two sub-groups are convened by Professor Chris Warhurst of IER, the third is to be confirmed. The work of all three sub-groups will be completed by autumn 2022.
