About the Centre

Working closely with key partners and HEIs nationwide, it will serve as a long-term hub for knowledge curation, training and innovative research into research culture.

International Research Culture Conference (IRCC)

The NCRC hosts an annual international research culture conference, bringing together the research community to inspire transformative ideas and empower communities to work together to improve research culture for everyone. Over the last two years we have welcomed over 800 delegates to hear about research culture initiatives, collaborate, network and discuss solutions.

Save the date

IRCC25 will take place on Wednesday 17th September 2025. Further details and a call for abstracts will be released in early 2025.

The Research Culture Enablers Network (RCEN) has been created as a solutions-focused group designed to exchange, debate, and challenge ideas surrounding research culture, with over 250 members.

We facilitate a regular series of online research culture events, free for everyone to engage with. Find out more about how to attend, or how to present your research culture work.

We carry out research on research culture in partnership with the Doctoral Education and Academia Research Centre.

The PATHWAY Programme

We're working to tackle the under-representation of Black academics in UK Higher Education. The Warwick PATHWAY Programme offers a range of opportunities and initiatives along the entire career pathway, and aims to create a community of aspiring Black researchers. We are keen to collaborate with other institutions to understand how initiatives similar to these are being evaluated and how we can create sector wide change.
