Magnitude-sensitivity refers to the result that performance in decision-making, across domains and organisms, is affected by the total value of the alternatives. This simple behavioural finding offers a window onto fundamental issues in decision-making and has led to a reconsideration of prominent (descriptive and normative) evidence accumulation models of decision-making. In this talk, I will present an overview of key findings, open questions, and future research directions about magnitude-sensitivity.
