This conference will assess the priorities for improving domestic energy efficiency in England, delivering the Green Homes Grant and accelerating a green economic recovery after COVID-19.

The agenda:

• Domestic energy efficiency rollout in England and next steps for enabling the low-carbon transition
• The Green Homes Grant - priorities for delivery and supporting a green economic recovery
  
  • Designing an accreditation model that supports trust, confidence and development across England
  • Ensuring the Grant’s effectiveness- targeting, engaging households and communities, and long-term energy cost reduction

• The impact of energy efficiency projects and initiatives on wider economic development - skills and employment, supply chains, and the low-carbon transition for local governments
• Setting ambitious and effective standards for decarbonising households and residential energy use
• Learning from energy efficiency strategies outside England
• Developing and diversifying investment for energy efficiency improvements
• Energy supplier obligations and priorities for scaling up household engagement in efficiency modernisation
• Priorities for planning system reform that supports expansion of domestic energy efficiency - public engagement, reducing physical barriers, and streamlining the planning process
• Next steps for delivering innovation in energy efficiency, expansion across the property and built environment, and growing the scope of technological options
• Policy priorities for domestic energy efficiency and delivering initiatives for a green economic recovery

EUTOPIA-SIF aims to enhance the research potential and career perspectives of outstanding researchers from around the world. It will provide the opportunity for early-career researchers to develop their independent research and to undertake training. Fellows will be hosted by one of the EUTOPIA partner universities and will be offered extensive mobility opportunities within EUTOPIA and beyond.

The EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowship Program (EUTOPIA-SIF) will fund 76 two-year fellowships over 4 calls and offers outstanding early career researchers an opportunity to develop their independent research profile and undertake training to help establish an academic career.

The programme offers an opportunity to bring outstanding early-career researchers to Warwick, as well as being an excellent opportunity for our own early career researchers to travel to one of the EUTOPIA partners and take a significant step towards establishing themselves in an academic role.

The EUTOPIA-SIF is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Sklodowska Curie COFUND scheme (Grant agreement 945380) and is co-funded by the member universities of the EUTOPIA Alliance.
