How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Pre-doctoral Local Authority Fellowship Scheme Workshop
Online

The NIHR Research Design Service West Midlands (RDS WM) is running a short workshop to give an overview of the newly launched NIHR Pre-doctoral Local Authority Fellowship (PLAF) scheme. The event is free and virtual and takes place on Tuesday 23rd February 2021 at 1pm for one hour. We hope that anyone who is considering applying for this fellowship will attend to gain an insight into the things they need to consider when making their application. I would be grateful if this could be circulated to any potential fellowship applicants.

If you or anyone in your organisation would also like to attend please see the attached flyer on how to register.

Launch of the X-ray Computed Tomography Research Technology Platform (CT RTP)
Webinar, University of Warwick

Dinosaurs, Dodos and Solving Murders – the X-ray Computed Tomography Research Technology Platform Launch Event

We are delighted to announce the launch of the X-ray Computed Tomography Research Technology Platform (CT RTP), with a virtual launch showcase at 2pm on 23rd February 2021. Sign up to the event here!

Professor Mark Williams and the CT RTP team will introduce the technology that researchers across Warwick will be able to access through the RTP, and provide overviews of the fantastic examples of applications the team have worked on, from solving murders with WM Police, to finding secret teeth in dinosaurs, assessing the quality of 3d printing and work on real time monitoring of battery failure.

The session will have a Q&A opportunity to discuss potential applications and questions on the technology, with the content accessible to those from all disciplines.

More information on the CT RTP can be found on the website, and in the RTP brochure. The CT RTP is the 10th RTP to be formed since the programme’s inception in 2014. The RTPs provide an integrated network of world-class facilities and expertise that enable researchers to perform outstanding science. Any researcher at Warwick can get access to these technologies, which include electron microscopy, bioinformatics, polymer characterisation, scientific computing and much more!
