How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

The way forward: plastics in a circular economy
Webinar, Zoom

This is a friendly reminder to join our online debate ‘The way forward: plastics in a circular economy’, taking place on Thursday 28 January from 10:00 to 11:00.

Hans Bruyninckx, European Environment Agency Executive Director, Sander Defruyt, New Plastics Economy Initiative Lead at Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Sarah Nelen, Deputy Head of Cabinet to Frans Timmermans and Member of the European Parliament Maria Spyraki explore how to address the plastics problem in the long term.

From the top of Mount Everest to the deepest point of the Mariana Trench: plastics are everywhere. Plastics use and its negative impacts is posing an increasing headache for policymakers, industry and consumers alike. In addition, COVID-19 is hindering efforts to phase out single use plastic products and lower oil prices are delaying the uptake of recycled plastics materials.

This event is organised in partnership with the European Environment Agency to mark the publication of the ‘Plastic, the circular economy and Europe’s environment — A priority for action’ report.

The virtual debate will be held via Zoom Meetings, allowing you to pose your questions and interact directly with the panel as in any of our events.
