Cumberland Lodge Scholarships 2021-2023

Cumberland Lodge have announced their two-year scholarships for 2021-2023 and welcome applications from PhD students. They are designed to fit around, and enhance doctoral studies and provide a unique opportunity to develop skills in communications, public engagement and interdisciplinary working. These scholarships open for applications on Monday 1 March 2021.

Application Deadline: The application deadline is midnight Friday 9 April 2021. Interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 3 May 2021 and will be conducted online via Zoom or (if the pandemic restrictions allow) at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

Shortlisted applicants will be informed by Friday 30 April 2021 and interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 3 May 2021.

British Federation of Women Graduates Awards and Opportunities for women doctoral students 2021

BFWG prizes for outstanding academic excellence

Applications for British Federation of Women Graduates Academic Awards are now being sought. The Awards are made to women doctoral students who will be in, or going into, their third year (or part time equivalent) of work for a research PhD/DPhil etc. in the autumn of 2021. Awards are, in effect, one off prizes varying in value from £1,000 to £6,000 and are given for overall outstanding academic excellence.

Deadline: Sunday 28th February 2021, 5pm.

BFWG Research Presentations Day

This one day meeting in London is a good opportunity for postgraduate doctoral students to present their work to a general audience. A small prize is offered (£120) for the student giving what is judged the best presentation. The day is an opportunity to meet students from other universities and other disciplines and is usually considered friendly, enjoyable and useful for both presenters and audience.

Deadline: Saturday 8th May 2021.

Snowdon Masters Scholarships 2021/2022

The Snowdon Trust are offering funding up to £30,000 for UK Masters Programmes for disabled students to attend Master's courses in 2021/2022. Successful students will receive up to £15,000 towards their fees and a £15,000 allowance while studying. There are a number of scholarships available, and students can apply for any Master's course or University. Applications are open to National and International students, across all courses and institutions.

Deadline: Applications should be submitted by 6 April 2021.

IBM Global PhD Fellowships - 2021

The IBM PhD Fellowship Program advances strong collaboration with faculty, students and universities by recognizing and supporting exceptional PhD students who want to make their mark in promising and disruptive technologies.

Nominations for the 2021 IBM PhD Fellowship Award program will be accepted until 23 October 2020 at 12:00 AM (midnight) US Eastern Time.

Notification of the results will take place in March of 2021.

Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme - supporting eligible postgraduate students in 2020/2021.

The University of Warwick will be offering the Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme to support eligible postgraduate students in 2020/2021. The Scheme has £500,000 to allocate and we expect to make a minimum of 50 awards. Awards are set at up to £10,000 per student and available to eligible Home fee status and UK domicile EU students from under-represented groups who wish to start a postgraduate taught masters course in 2020/2021.

Application Deadline: The application deadline has now been extended until midnight on Friday 17 April 2020. This is to give prospective applicants more time to apply. The interviews will go ahead on Monday 4 May 2020, but they will be conducted online, and shortlisted candidates will be sent straightforward details of how to take part via video conferencing.

Shortlisted applicants will be informed by Thursday 30th April 2020 and interviews will take place on Monday 4th May 2020.

Snowdon Master's Scholarships - 2020/21

The Global Disability Innovation Hub and Snowdon Trust have now opened applications to their scholarships for MSc courses beginning in Autumn 2020. Funding is available to exceptional disabled students to join any UK based Masters programme and is focused on supporting disabled students into postgraduate education. Applications can be for any UK University or Masters course and are open for both national and international students. Successful candidates will join a unique network of high achieving disabled leaders working together to inspire future generations.

Funding of a maximum of £30,000 per successful students with up to £15,000 towards MSc course fees and a £15,000 allowance while studying.

Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund

The Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund will be offering up to 18 scholarship awards of £5,000 to Canadian citizens studying in the UK for the academic year 2020/2021. These awards are for academic and artistic studies and are exclusively for students who have already started their multi-year studies in the UK in multiple disciplines.
