Physical access

Physical access to the Library including details of parking provision, lifts, toilets and assistance dogs.

Two disabled parking spaces are available next to the Library on Library Road, five spaces are available opposite the Humanities building.

There is lift access via the ground floor Café Library entrance on Library Road. Take the lift to the first floor. There are two alternative accessible entrances (if the lift is out of order).

You will need to scan your university card to open the gates.

If you have any problems, the staff member on the Welcome Point will be happy to you help you.

If the ground floor lift opposite Library Café is out of order we have two alternative accessible routes to the Library.

Access via the Chemistry building

You can access the first floor of the Library through the Chemistry building, across Library bridge. The ground floor entrance is under the bridge, and the lift is on the left as you enter the building.

If you are unable to use the stairs under the bridge, follow the route below.

1) Leave the library and turn left, past the stairs leading up to the bridge, towards the Ramphal building and cross Library Road opposite the Ramphal building.

2) Turn along the path in front of the Chemistry building.

3) Enter the Chemistry building through the main entrance underneath the bridge.

4) The lifts are to your left as you enter. Take the lift to the First Floor.

5) Turn right and cross the bridge to enter the library.

Access via the Staff entrance

You can access the library through the Ground Floor entrance at the rear of the building.

1. Leave the library and turn left, past the stairs leading up to the bridge, towards the Ramphal building. Turn left, past the Library Cafe.

2. Follow the building, then take the first left.

The entrance is under the bridge. Use the yellow telephone to contact staff for access.

Once inside, use the lift on the right to gain access to the library.

The Library contains five floors, plus an extension building on floor 2 and floor 3.

Lifts are located in the central lobby area of floor 1. These give access to floor 2, floor 3, floor 4 and floor 5.

A separate lift is available over the bridge on the floor 2 extension, to take you to the floor 3 extension.

If you require any assistance finding your way around, please ask a member of Library staff.

  Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome in the building with their owners.

A wheelchair is available for customers use within the Library. Please ask a member of staff at the Helpdesk or Welcome Point. To reserve in advance, please email library at warwick dot ac dot uk.

Toilets

Ground floor

Accessible toilet within gender neutral toilets

In addition to the accessible toilet, there is also a family room and ambulant toilet within the gender neutral toilets.
