CANADA - UBC Vancouver Summer Programme

Greetings from the Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) at the University of British Columbia!

Thanks to the support from you and our global partners, we are excited to welcome students from across the world to study at VSP this summer. While applications for our June Session (June 7 – July 7, 2024) has just concluded, we are glad to announce an extension to our July Session (July 12 – August 12) application deadline to April 24, 2024 (from April 5, 2024).

Details of VSP 2024, including application requirements, details of the 80+ course packages on offer, and application instructions can be found on our website vancouversummerprogram.ubc.ca. Students can apply to VSP directly on our website, or through a group application submitted by an administrator at your institution.

We encourage students and partners to submit their applications and complete all the required payments as soon as possible to leave ample time to apply for the required travel document to enter Canada.

With 20+ UBC Faculties, Schools, Institutes and Departments offering course packages at VSP 2024, our program is the perfect opportunity for students to strengthen their knowledge in their specializations, or discover an entire new topic. We encourage you to share the following unique topics offered at VSP 2024 with your students:

Gustavson School of Business SHORT-TERM BUSINESS PROGRAMS

International Summer Institute for Business Management (ISIBM)

In person, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Enhance your business education, improve your communication and presentation skills, and prepare for your future business success in an engaging and fun international learning environment.

The International Summer Institute for Business Management (ISIBM) is an intensive three or four-week program taught by our award-winning professors from the Gustavson School of Business. This program pairs theoretical concepts with experiential learning. Topics covered are Business Communication, Entrepreneurship, Service Management and International Business.

ISIBM A: July 4 – 25, 2024
  • Program Fee: approx £3,040 + tax
  • Deposit with enrolment: approx £350 + tax (applied to program fee)
  • Final Registration Deadline: June 14, 2024

    Canada Day Experience add-on:- June 28 – July 3, 2024
  • For an additional approx £322 + GST; ISIBM participants can add four extra days of on-campus accommodation, airport pick-up and meal card to their enrolment and take part in the Canada Day festivities on July 1st

ISIBM B: August 1 – August 19, 2024
  • Program Fee: approx £2,891 + tax (Canadian dollars)
  • Deposit with enrolment: approx £292 + tax (applied to program fee)
  • Final Registration Deadline: July 12, 2024

English Requirements:

ISIBM students are recommended to have at least an intermediate level of English which is the equivalent of IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 45. We do not require a language certificate, but if you are not sure of your English level please contact us for more information.

Visa Requirements:

Students who are attending the ISIBM program from countries requiring a temporary resident visa to travel to Canada will need to apply a minimum of 2 months before the start of the program. Visa processing times can vary by country so apply early.
