ASIA - Summer Camp in Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan 2024 (3 weeks)

'Connecting Asia for a Sustainable Future - Joint Summer Camp in Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan 2024

  • This camp provides students with a unique opportunity to obtain hands-on learning experience at three esteemed higher institutions in Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan. The objectives of this camp are to enhance understanding the foundation and overview of various issues related to sustainability, especially in the fields of Industry 4.0, Sustainability and Circular Economy, and One Health, develop willingness to communicate with other students with diverse national and cultural backgrounds and discuss how to tackle issues related to sustainability.

    Our summer programs will take place from July 14th to August 4th, 2024, with the following schedule:

    • The University of Hong Kong, China: July 14th - 20th, 2024
    • Chulalongkorn University, Thailand: July 21st - 27th, 2024
    • Hokkaido University, Japan: July 28th - August 3rd , 2024
  • Open to non-finalists (not available for students graduating in Summer 2024, whether UG or PG), students are eligible for 5% discount on programme fee taking it to USD$3,705 (approx. £2,950 – flights from home country and between destinations are in addition to this fee).

Students should apply direct, but please let us know if you apply. They will be eligible to apply for the Short Term Mobility Bursary for some potential funding support of up to £500.

They are taught entirely in English by cutting-edge scholars, who are full-time faculty members of the University of Tokyo.

Additionally, we offer Japanese language courses. Most courses can be completed in one or two weeks, and students will be granted Global Unit, with a certificate issued upon course completion.
