Dr Alan Dolan and Kay McEvoy rewarded for their 21 years service at Warwick!
Dr Alan Dolan, Associate Professor and Director of Social Work and Kay McEvoy, Recruitment and Marketing Manager both received an award for their 21 years service at Warwick.
Alan did an interview with the central communications team where he shared his experience of the past 21 years at Warwick. He commented how his colleagues and the students are the reason he's stayed here so long. You can read his full interview here.
Doing the degree at Warwick gave me confidence in myself, my opinions and my abilities
Recently we caught up with Charlotte Lewis. Charlotte completed her degree in Health and Social Policy with CLL. She now works for the Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC) as an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) but is based on campus at Warwick. You can read our interview with her here.

Dr Anne Hollinshead, Director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Dr Sarah Cousins, Director of Early Years Programmes, Interim Director of Academic Studies, Centre for Lifelong Learning have been in discussions with a Kenyan Educational Trust – Stadi za Maisha (translates as ‘skills of life’) about possible collaborative activities with themselves, the State Ministry of Education, the County Ministry of Education, Kenyatta University (centre for lifelong learning) and the Kenyan Institute of Special education (KISE).
A scoping visit took place in Nairobi 30/9 – 4/10 where Anne and Sarah were hosted by

- Immaculata Wanjala (IM), Stadi za Maisha.
Early Childhood student's paper accepted for publication by the ECSDN
Faye's paper entitled 'The role of the practitioner in safeguarding' was recently accepted for publication by The Early Childhood Studies Degree Network (ECSDN).
Social Work Degree Apprenticeship student Braves the Shave for Macmillan
Claire lost her Dad to mantle cell non-hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014. Although Macmillan did not have a chance to offer personal support to him, as the cancer progressed too quickly, Claire is very keen to fundraise and support the charity – so others can have access to support they offer.
