Our weekly artist-led workshops allow you to get creative, meet new people, and take some time for yourself to unwind. Language Cafe
The Language Café is a vibrant, inclusive space for students to connect, share, and celebrate languages and cultures from around the world. Each event will feature interactive sessions, conversation tables, and activities designed to encourage participation and learning in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Our goal is to bring people together, breaking language barriers and building a strong, globally connected community.

International Women's Day Conference
Warwick Women in Economics is excited to invite you to attend our annual International Women’s Day conference. We believe it is important to celebrate IWD, with our conference including keynote talks, panels and networking sessions with female industry leaders, representatives from our sponsors as well as our growing membership and alumni. Coming to England – My Career Path (A Warwick PATHWAY Programme talk)
Dr Azzedine Dabo will be speaking about his personal journey to a career in research from undergraduate through to PhD and beyond, covering his current work at GSK and any barriers he has faced and overcome along the way. This event is part of the Warwick PATHWAY Programme which seeks to support Black researcher career development from undergraduate to postdoctoral level. All welcome. Lunch will be provided. Digital Arts and Humanities Lab - Digital storytelling and storydoing with virtual reality
The level of experiential immersive we can achieve with the latest VR headsets is so great that we think it surpasses ordinary storytelling. Participants feel like they are actually present in the world we construct and the events that happen. This has been used to transport us back in time, or to distant places. Easter Rising: Voice of a Rebel (BBC, producer Catherine Allen) transports us back to the 1916 revolution in Dublin. Empire Soldiers (MBD) takes us to the first world war and through the experiences of soldiers from the Caribbean and South Asia. Child of Empire explores the real experiences of people living through the Partition of India. Allen (a Warwick Theatre Studies alumnus) described this as "storydoing" - a more direct and immediate way to experience a narrative, through 360 images and sound, and sometimes with interaction. Creating these experiences has been expensive and technically complex. The DAHL has been exploring simpler and cheaper ways, including the use of Insta360 cameras. We will present our findings in this session.

Research Refresh
Research Refresh, is a drop in and out of event, that gives PGRs the opportunity to take a break from their work, chat with other researchers, and enjoy some board games, as well as free coffee, cakes and snacks. These sessions are also a great opportunity to network with other researchers, discuss your research, and to take a breather so that you can return to your work refreshed and relaxed. Every week, one or two of our Research and Academic Support Librarians will also be at the event and will be available for you to discuss your research needs, to talk about your research, and to help you get the most out of the Library services. This is the perfect chance to find out exactly how our Librarians can support you throughout your PhD journey.

During the workshops we will ask for your thoughts and experiences on being a PGR at Warwick and what you believe PGR values should look like. Draw Your Feelings
A wellbeing session where students can drop by and draw, collage, or sculpt with craft clay. Students participate in activities through prompt cards or follow their own independent projects. Creative activities can allow us to focus our emotions and manage stress and anxiety, but the sessions will also act as a place to meet other creatives at Warwick. No art skills required!

Mindfulness walk through the bluebells
Step away from your screens, slow down and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. This gentle, guided walk through the stunning bluebell woods on campus is an opportunity to: Breathe deeply and relax your mind Notice the small details in nature that often go unseen Reconnect with yourself and the world around you Weather permitting, feel free to bring your lunch and we'll find a peaceful spot near the bluebells to relax and eat together after the walk. Afterwards, we'll visit the student allotments, where you'll get the chance to met members of the Allotment Society, see what's growing and find out how you can get involved if you're interested.
