About Me

I am a second-year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science, specializing in compiler optimizations, under the supervision of Prof. Gihan Mudalige.

Prior to my PhD, I worked as a Senior Software Engineer at WSO2 Pvt Ltd (2022–2024), where I was part of the compiler team for the Ballerina open-source programming language. During this time, I contributed to the JSON and XML data libraries for the language.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Hons) degree in 2022 from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Research

My research focuses on MLIR compiler passes and heuristic optimizations prediction using machine learning techniques. At the moment, I am particularly interested in exploring the AI compiler stack and stencil compiler stack.
