Teaching is an excellent personal development opportunity. We encourage our PhD students to engage in teaching in the department (e.g., seminars, labs, marking). Depending on individual funding and visa requirements, such work is paid under the STP framework. While the paid amount alone is not enough to fully fund your education, it is a useful supplement in addition to any other sources of funding, such as CS CDT scholarships we provide.
