Solving Poverty: Reforming Social Security/Welfare Benefits

This short-term project will seek reform of social security/welfare benefits so as to reduce poverty, doing so by identification and promotion of shared civil society recommendations for the Autumn Budget 2017 and involving people with expertise by experience.

Aims

1. Seek reform of the social security/welfare benefits system in ways that will reduce poverty.

2. Specifically, make shared civil society recommendations for the 2017 Autumn Budget as relevant to social

security/welfare benefits.

3. Include in the process people with expertise by experience.

4. Provide learning, and a possible basis, for further consensus building and participatory approaches.
