Information about past work at the Modern Records Centre is included in our annual reports and information bulletins (available online from 1996/7 to 2016/7). Recordings of several past events are also available - the student-led Open Education Series, 2014-2016, and the schools project Archives Alive, 2016.
Land Worker catalogued!
20 boxes of journals and other publications received from Unite the Union have now been catalogued and added to our online catalogue.
Highlights include a full set of the journal 'Labourer' / 'Land Worker', 1915-1981, which has been added to the archives of the National Union of Agricultural and Allied Workers. The journal, illustrated with photographs, cartoons and engravings, is a great source on rural life, labour and activism in the 20th century.
