Temilorun Olanipekun

Temilorun Olanipekun is a PhD student in Employment Research at the University of Warwick, where his research examines the contributions of AI data workers in Kenya to global AI systems development. His research sits at the intersection of labour, technology, and inequality, with a particular focus on how digital labour platforms reshape livelihoods, agency, and precarity.

His broader research interests include platform economies, digital labour, development, and the future of work in the Global South.

He holds an MSc in Social Science of the Internet and an MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford, as well as a BSc degree in Sociology from Bowen University. Prior to starting his PhD, Temilorun worked across research, policy, and tech.
